Our Services
Early Intervention
Early Intervention services are available for children ages birth to three in home or community based locations.
Individualized Therapy Services
Therapy services are for children 3 years to 21 years. After an initial evaluation, an individualized treatment program would be developed with the family to enhance skill development. Therapy is done in collaboration with family goals and priorities.
Therapy sessions can take place in the home or community.
Parent Coaching
The goal of parent coaching is to help develop increased skill and confidence in parents in meeting the unique needs of their child. Parent coaching is available for specific concerns (feeding, motor development, sleep routines, sensory processing) or for ongoing concerns.
Developmental wellness consultations are available to provide additional information about a specific developmental stage or skill. Resources can be developed to help support each stage of development.

Shanna is a pediatric occupational therapist passionate about seeing children and families thrive in daily life. Shanna graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College with a degree in Occupational therapy in 2000. Having worked in home, school, and clinic based settings for the past 21 years, she has discovered that supporting and engaging the entire family promotes the most success and fulfillment for everyone. Shanna has experience working with a variety of diagnoses and developmental concerns including: Prematurity, Feeding (both oral motor delay and behavioral), Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delay, Spina Bifida, PDD, fine motor delay, sensory integration dysfunction, and other neurologic & orthopedic difficulties. She has extensive training and experience in Sensory Integration. She has training in feeding, neuromotor impairments, gross and fine motor assessment and intervention, Infant Massage, oral motor assessment & intervention, adaptive equipment/assistive technology.
Shanna is excited to offer consultation to parents who want additional information about development in order to support children and families for future success.
Shanna currently lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina with her husband and three children.
